𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱, 𝐀𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭:-
In every episodes of the 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝘃 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄, '𝗟𝗼𝗸𝗶 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 2' we could see ourselves encountering with a glimpse of the term, ‘𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱.’
So what actually this paradox means?
To discuss this concept precisely, first of all we should exactly know what is called a 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 and what actually a 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱 means?
Any 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 or 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 which is either true or false is called a ‘𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.’
In other words a statement cannot be true and false both at the same time!
Now apart from this, there exist some kind of sentences having the feature that these are true as well as false simultaneously, this category of sentences are not statement and rather called ‘𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱𝐞𝐬.’
To fully understand this concept let's consider an example as discussed bellow;
Suppose 𝗔𝘁𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 and arrives 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 with his mostly known work, '𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧' written on a bunch of papers just before he was working on his 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and gives these papers to him, and let he then copies all the concepts written on those papers and announces his 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 then if 𝗔𝘁𝘂𝗹 is asked that who invented this 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 first, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀?
Then honestly this principle was neither invented by 𝗔𝘁𝘂𝗹 because he found a bunch of papers containing that principle on them and this was surprisingly not even invented by 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 too because he was handed over that bunch of papers by 𝗔𝘁𝘂𝗹, so there arises a question here that who is the actual inventor of this 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
Clearly this 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 although exists but who invented this first cannot be told.
Infact there is a loop involving 𝗔𝘁𝘂𝗹 and 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 in such a way that 𝗔𝘁𝘂𝗹 helps 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 and 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 helps 𝗔𝘁𝘂𝗹 to create this principle of flotation as explained above in the given example.
Giving rise to a paradox called ‘𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱.’
